Stupid TOM! Stupid WPs! Stupid scale!

  • Soooo I am stuck at 260.6 today. Same as last week, on the nose. What REALLY irritates me is that at my mid-week "check-in" weigh in that I always do, I was down two pounds. I thought it was going to be a great week!

TOM started yesterday, and I ate about 35 of my weekly points, which I hadn't touched in the previous two weeks. I am not sure which one of these is the culprit, but I'm not happy.

It's enough to make me want to eat a whole dang cake. Not going to do it though. I am so done with weekly points for awhile!
  • I feel you. I maintained exactly for 2 weeks. Crazy that I did not gain or lose not even 1 ounce. Next weigh-in I will be down because I tightened up my ropes.
  • Well at least you did not gain...I am up 3lbs and have no explaination for it. As a matter of fact I have had a major sinus infection and a pinched nerve in my jaw making it difficult to even open my mouth.
Think mine is from all the drugs I am taking???? antibiotic, steriod, inhailer, muscle relaxer and a tranquilizer??

    Talk about messed up
  • This is going to be me tomorrow! Only I'm sure I've gained, but I'm going to weigh in anyway and just make better choices this week.
  • I'm always surprised when people say they don't eat ther WP. I always have...up until recently...I always had a loss unless I went over all of my daily and WP.
  • I just recently came from a 172.6 stall for 9 days straight, not even the ounce moved and I was on plan the whole time. I know it is not considered a true stall but it sure felt like one. When the stall finally broke, I noticed my body had changed, like it was catching up to my weight loss because I was much smaller. So I guess it was a good thing but now I am running as fast as I can away from 172, I don't want to be anywhere near that dreadful number
  • I always gain at least 2-3 lbs during TOM.

Really, it could be so many things. Water retention, hormones, sodium, etc. Just keep on doing the right things and the scale will catch up with you.
  • Spooky is right, if you are doing things right, the scale always manages to catch up and show a loss.
  • In the words of some movie character, "Dude, you must chill."
  • Ha! That's one of my favorite movies.

I'm not going to fall off the boat or anything, just irritated! All will be better next week, I am sure of it.
  • Hang in there! Do not give up. Our bodies change slowly sometimes. Be patient and the scale will move down again! Good Luck!
  • Definitely hang in there! I only went down .4 last week, so I feel your pain! But look at it this way: you didn't gain!!
  • i ate all my Daily Points plus 23 of my weekly points this week, which i never use. plus, im on my TOM so i had a one pound gain. im not bummed about it though because i know its just gonna make me work harder this week and hopefully, next weigh in ill have great results.
