Insanity Workout??

  • I'm stalled on weight loss. Not a HUGE deal, but I didn't lose a pound this week & that SUCKS. So, I think it's time to up my exercise routine, so wanted to get any opinions I could on the Insanity Workout.

What's it like? What did you like/dislike? Did you get good results?
  • My sister did the Insanity program last year and got great results. She lost her last 10-15 lbs and hit her goal weight during the program. She too had hit a plateau before doing the program. I did it with her a few times, and it was just too much for me. There is lots of jumping/push-ups/football/basketball moves. If you've ever played sports, it feels a lot like conditioning before the season officially starts. If you like intense exercise, it will definitely help you break a plateau, but if you're like me and prefer moderate exercise, you'll absolutely dread the Insanity workout everyday.
  • I've tried Insanity twice. The first time I lasted a month, the second time I lasted just a few days. It's definitely intense, but I just found it to be way too repetitive. All the workouts are very similar. So, I got really bored with it and ended up dreading it, even though the workouts were intense.
  • I just finished Week 1 of Insanity! So far I love it but if I was doing it alone I would have given up! I recruited 6 coworkers and we meet at 0500 every day! We are all committed and supportive and that is what I need I know I will lose 10-15 and THAT keeps me hooked!!
