Day 1 for me - Question about the bars

  • Where do the bars fit in to the program? I don't have any paperwork that mention the bars, but I have 2 bars in my bag that I was sent home with. Can a bar be used as a protein packet whatever thingy?

Thanks so much for your help.

BTW, I'm shocked at how good the food is so far. I've had the wildberry yogurt drink (with 12 ounces of water instead of 6) and I've had the BBQ ridges. WOW. Yum!
  • Yes, each item counts as one of your proteins. In phase 1 you'll have 1 for b.fast, 1 for lunch and 1 for snack. Some add an extra packet as their bodies adjust. Be sure you understand restricted vs. un-restricted. The soups, puddings, drinks, etc are UN-restricted and the bars, chips, puffs, crepes, etc are restricted (which means just 1 a day). My coach made me hold back on restricted until the 4th week. All coaches are different. Welcome and good luck! You'll love IP.
  • Thank you so much. I will definitely have one of my bars tomorrow!

BTW, I'm actually still stuffed from my breakfast and lunch (and water) that I can't imagine being hungry when dinner rolls around. Is this common?

Fairly common. Probably because you had one restricted -- BBQ ridges -- for lunch.

It is common. make sure you are getting all your food in however. 4 cups of veggies at least one salad 3 packets and 1 cooked protein.

I will follow it to the Tee...but, ugh, I'm so full. (though, I'm definitely not complaining about being full!)
