6 weeks in, 9 lbs down :)

  • Hello all,

    I don't post but I often lurk around for helpful ideas and encouragement. I am pleased to post that I am down 9 lbs and have almost reached my first mini goal of a 5% body weight loss. After attempting many diets in the past, this is the first time I actually do not feel like I am "dieting" but more like I am living a lifestyle that is appropriate. I am still working out some kinks and the loss is coming slowly, but I don't feel such a rush as I'm not waiting on anything to "end".

    LOL! I felt the same way---I have online too, although I weigh-in in person---but yes, I felt the same way about the online program. The big yellow star, and I also love the pop-up windows when you enter your weight that say something like "great job, keep doing exactly what you are doing"! Even though it is computer generated, it still feels great to be recognized for success!
  • Mini goals are great. Focusing on the smaller goals along the way is so much easier. Good for you!
  • Congrats! I agree that mini goals are the way to go. I seem to become discouraged, when I look at the big picture. Keep it up!!
