Can someone explain to me how in the world can you search for an item? When I go to search, it only searches my recent items and favorites. Also I'm not fond of how you have to type in the exact name to find something.

Same for me. I don't think you can do it any other way. If you can, I don't how to do it either.

When I search, I just type in the name of the item and press search and it finds it... On the off chance I cant find the object I use the livestrong app or safari to find the nutrition facts and enter it in the calculator

I think I figured it out. I think I was confused b/c IMO, the database isn't that extensive as I would have thought [at least for the foods I eat I guess LOL].

Are you an etools subscriber? I'm not, and I can't find anything on it. I have a pizza and cocktail cheat sheet. Plus featured recipes. I can't find a database. It says to join e-tools for more features.

If you have etools, you have a wider search database. Mine keeps freezing up on me, though! If I try to search for too many items the whole app freezes and I have to wait awhile for it to return to normal.

we end up putting in a lot of our own foods for sure. But after a while, a month or so, you will have your list and it will work much better. Right now, it's time consuming for sure. I have the iphone app also. and stools. lol. how come no one emailed me about the Stools??? that was suppose to be e-tools. My computer won't let me type it it self corrects to stools.. lol olo

what are you typing in for search?

i type in the food name when it says "enter food"... i've always been an etools subscriber. I didnt know that it won't let you search if you are not an etools subscriber
