Popcorn: nature's gift to dieters

  • Thought I would share, you all probably already know but my goodness! A cup of air popped popcorn only has 15 calories in it! Add some spices and you have yourself a delicious, savory snack that wont rack up the calories.
  • I always forget about popcorn! I know there is a certain kettle corn brand that is very calorie friendly and a great option for those sweet tooth moments!
  • yeah but remember a cup isnt very filling so remember to measure it! I always remember this episode of Kendra where Kendra was trying to lose the weight from her baby and her manager/photo person/whatever was like "hows the diet?" and Kendra was like "great! I just discovered pop corn! Its like eating air" and her manager was like "no, Kendra, its like eating corn" Its awesome for the munchies though, sometimes i just want something to crunch
  • I like the little 100 calorie smart pop bags. Makes measuring a lot easier

  • I love air popped popcorn with a little bit of butter-flavored cooking spray (store brand, not Pam...Pam's discusting) and a little bit of salt. It's so good.
  • You guys are making me hungry. :P

I got some wild colored popcorn at the farmer's market last summer and it's pretty awesome. It pops white, but the outside kernels are red and blues.
  • FALSE. The week before I started following a strict calorie-counting plan, I totally binged on caramel popcorn while watching a movie. That stuff is gooooooood.
  • i like popcorns while i feel hungry
  • I absolutely love popcorn. It's really cheap to make yourself too. Alton Brown's recipe shows you how to make it at home with a brown paper bag.

I like the Kettle Corn 100 calorie packs best though. They're yummy and filling.
  • hmmm I don't ever buy popcorn...maybe I should start. :P
  • I get the Smart Pop 94% fat free kettle corn and use it as a snack/reward at work. Love it!
