  • Hi Ladies!

Another month upon us, please share what you are reading.

Up next I have the perfect fit by Louise Kean. From the back of the book, it looks like it is a story about being the perfect size does NOT equal a perfect life. Looking forward to this one.
  • "Reading Lolita in Tehran" is the Book Club selection for this month. Last month we read "The Glass Castle". We're getting away from fiction although the next selection will be the first Harry Potter.
  • Right now I'm reading Jimmy Carter's White House diary, and going to start a new fiction soon (not sure which one yet, but I have several on hold at the library -- they all come in at once ;-)

Anybody here on goodreads? Love that site.

Harry Potter is the BEST SERIES EVER! *dies*

I just finished the Hunger Games series- was really good I definitely recommend it, easy read and highly entertaining- SUCH a good concept. It's about a world that is split up into districts and every year a boy and girl from each district is brought together (so 24 competitors total) and taken to an arena and must fight to the death. It's such a good story, sad, but good.

Since I'm cutting down on my nook costs I just started reading "The Lost Symbol" - so far so good.
  • I'm currently re-reading Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Galbadon. I absolutely love her Outlander series. It's a perfect sort of book for Valentine's Day. Even though they are romantic novels, they aren't too fluffy. I am obsessed with them.
  • I have about 100 pages left in Pillars of the Earth. I am surprised that a book about building a cathedral could keep my attention. I guess it's a sign of a good book that I find myself getting angry at some of the characters and their choices. It's kept my attention for sure. I'm torn on what to read next, either Dragonfly in Amber, The Hunger Games or Paper Towns.
  • HUNGER GAMES! I'm sorry but I just finished the latest Outlander book and was severly disapointed in it. And I liked all the other ones.
  • I'm dividing my time between George R.R. Martin's "A Game of Thrones," Richard Grant's "Views from the Oldest House," and Mireille Guillano's "Women, Work and the Art of Savoir Faire." Flipping from one book to another does sound weird but I get easily bored and can't focus on just one book at a time these days.
  • I am reading A cozy mystery right now. Lot of fun. Called Second Hand Spirits. Still plowing through Under the Dome and a few other, self help work books I am working through.
  • I am still reading A Gate at the Stairs...Lorrie Moore. Had a busy week last week, haven't been into reading so much and this book is a little slow!
  • I'm reading "True Colors" by Kristin Hannah. I am really enjoying her, I just finished "Winter Garden" by her as well. Next I will read "Firefly Lane".
  • I'm reading Ender's Game for book club and really enjoying it.

I keep meaning to read Hunger Games, but have yet to get around to it.
  • I haven't gotten around to Hunger Games, either; long hold list at the library for the first one, still! I started reading Ape House, by Sara Gruen, and so far I think it's really great.
  • I just started reading "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" by Carson McCullers. Doesn't seem half bad so far but I can already tell it's going to be pretty depressing. I guess the title should have given me that clue. lol!
  • I read Hunger Games and it's definitely worth the quick read. It kept me up til 2am on a school night, but I finished it in a day.
