What do you think.....?

  • Hello Ladies,

I'm in a bit of a dilemma and need all your wonderful advice and experience please!

I've got 40 pounds to lose by July 30th (wedding of ex that i need to look hot for!!) and i'm stuck with the fitness side of it. I lost 11lbs in January mostly through low fat, low carb diet, i've been eating very 'clean' and no slip ups Food wise i think i'm set as feel good on this sort of diet.

I've been doing Slim in 6 and am due to finish up in 3 weeks time but have only seen a 3" loss overall and no real change in body shape although i do feel stronger and more 'solid' I know i have 3 more weeks to go and am commited to finishing so will keep fingers crossed for a major loss in the next few weeks.

I'm lucky to have been left TurboJam, Turbo Fire, Chalean Extreme, BBL, and some JM dvds from my roomate and i'm confused as to the best way forward.

I've got quite a muscular frame and carry most of my weight in my hips, thighs, butt! What do you think is the best programme to get the best results? Any tips would be great!

    Thanks in advance! x
  • Morning! Cardio is GREAT! I have no coordination when it comes to fitness videos so I ran 6 days a week up to 6 miles. It was great! I say check out each fitness video and see which one is most fun for you. Congrats on your loss thus far, and I'm sure you will look stunning for your ex's wedding! Best of luck to you!

p.s. I had the biggest butt, I mean you could seriously sit a cup on it and it wouldn't fall WHILE STANDING, and the cardio worked really well and getting it "small" also, there are lots of waist exercises you could do. Try googling some, I know I did a few where a resistance band was used, and that helped too! I went from a 20W to a 2!!!
  • Bad news: you can't spot reduce. The best exercises to lose fat in the waist are table push-aways and fork put-downs. The best exercises to lose fat in the posterior are ... table push-aways and fork put-downs.

Good news: often people experience a "whoosh" in weight loss after a plateau of 2-3 weeks. Stick with your plan, make sure you're staying in caloric deficit (calories in < calories out) regardless of the macro composition of those calories (fat, protein, carb), and drink lots of water. If you build it, the whoosh will come ...

  • stick out the last 3 weeks of Sin6, usually doing the last workout is when people see the most results. Most people lose more inches than pounds with Sin6.

after Sin6 I think sticking with cardio and light weight circuits would be the way to go... turbo fire, turbo jam for cardio and Jillian for toning circuits. CLX is good for heavy weight lifting but since you are already muscular you might want to just focus on the slimming down for the wedding.
