It's a start

  • Hey everybody!
It's time for me to start taking my health seriously. Losing weight (I've got about 70 to lose) is just one factor. I stopped smoking 1/18/11 and have already gained 6 pds. I don't care about the weight gain with that - stopping smoking is so hard already, I'm not going to beat myself up over a few more pounds. I quit drinking alcohol all together too. No way I can stay stopped with the smoking if I keep on with the drinking.
My bf's brother, his incredibly healthy vegetarian fit as a fiddle brother, just got diagnosed with some type of lymphoma - news like that just makes you sit back and take stock. I'll be on here more after I can focus more on weight loss - after my stop smoking hump -
I just wanted to get started somewhere.
    Thanks.
  • Im so sorry to hear about your bf's brother. It's good to focus on yourself and becoming healthier. My husband stopped smoking a year ago and it was terribly hard but he did it. I give you total props for it, I cant imagine.

    Welcome to the boards.
