Morning all. Please don't say COFFEE! I'm on no food or liquids until after my op - dumb rule for a pissy little wrist operation. DH thinks we should go out for lunch after the op - it will depend on how fast the drugs wear off - for me, not him!

I dug out the Country Christmas costumes yesterday and will touch them up with the iron this morning. The baking did not get done. I may get DH to do the pineapple cakes for me tomorrow.

I'm babbling! I MISS MY COFFEE so have an extra for me. Going for a bath right now.

Will definitely be in later - to let you know what we did for lunch!

Grandparents day at school today and the snow is making it really hard.

Well, I have alot to do also. I have to clean a little more and do baking. I'll also cut up all my veggies that I'll be having tomorrow so when it's time to cook them I can just toss them in the pan.

I have laundry to do today. I hate putting the laundry away. I'll wash, dry and iron without a complaint but I hate putting it away.


Ruthie~~ Let us know how everything goes. If I were you I'd still go out even if the drugs weren't worn off. Could prove to be interesting!


DebKay and Peachie~~ I've never watched the Osbournes.

I cant imagine that DH would sit through it. I did see an interview with Ozzie and it seems that all the drugs he did in the past have caught up to him. Can anyone say BURNOUT!!!!


L114S~~~ I am so sorry that this is hard for you. I know that this may not seem like a good suggestion right now but please give a thought to getting a new kitty. I know you have probably vowed to never get another one because it's so hard when you lose them BUT...it sounds like you are the type of person that gives the kitties a good home and it would ease your heartache to have a little kitten terrorizing you. They are so dear. We live in the country and I cant tell you how many times strays have come to me. I have kept one of them. She was the hardest to tame and I wasn't sure that anyone else would have patience with her. I call her Gypsy, she's all black with green eyes. Now she's such a baby that she's with me all the time. I have three cats in all. I have Gypsy, Marley he's 10 and just silly very Garfield like with his actions and then there's Maddy, she's my sweetie. I took her from a farmer who planned on drowning her because she was female!!! She was only 4 weeks old when I rescued her and she thinks I'm mommy. After the Thanksgiving rush go and rescue a kitty. Your not trying to replace the one you had your giving another one a great home where it can be loved!!! <<<<HUGS>>>>


Well, off to do some baking. I really am going to take my halo out of the closet and put it one for today. I am going to be so good that I'll make myself ill!!!

L- Im so sorry to hear about your cat. 17 yrs is a very long time, and Im sure he helped you thru some very trying times. Pets do that, my Benson has been gone 6 yrs...best dog I've ever had. Chrissy had a good idea, if you can bear to do it again.....its worth every minute of it!

Things around the city of Buffalo, are soooooooo pretty!! Snow fell overnight, covered everything, including every single branch on the trees. Its just beautiful!! and......the sun is shinging to make it all sparkle I think its going to be a good day!

Hair cut day, Ive got wayyyy too big hair for my liking! lol I like it a bit on the crazy side, but not so that it makes my head look 3x bigger than it really is.

Off to work, hopefully have a good day.....then off to step daughters for turkey dinner. I dont know what Im going to eat, everything is very high carb. I dont want to look rude or appear to not enjoy her efforts. Could be interesting. She knows Im low carbing, but said to me, its thanksgiving, thats what its for. Im not going to use thanksgiving as an excuse to overeat or over induldge. Funny how after living with a sabotager for many years, you can pick them out so much easier now!

Good morning to everyone

There is no snow on Vancouver Isl. Just forsty and sunny. I am going to get serious today about what I eat. Beer did not help yesterday, i got the munchies and ate toooo much. I am hoping to lose ten pounds before Xmas if that is possible.

robinH, I have the same type of hair and it gets very frustrating to get it looking nice, it poofs out and makes my head look twice the size also. If my hair could stay permantly wet it would look great!

I am going to be lazy today and just putter around the house, maybe go through Xmas decorations and see how many bulbs are burnt out of each set of lights.

DebK~Thanks for asking about me! So, what're you baking today? Was it Thanksgiving or Christmas you were having the dilemna with son not wanting to go out of town?

Well, I had the heart catherization done Monday morning. Whew, sure glad that is over with. I kept my fears mostly to myself, but shoot, daddy just had it and 2 days later had triple by-pass, how in the heck could I not be scared? I joked with the nurses, etc.. Then they let dh into pre-op and the moment was near and tears starting streaming. I had opted not to have the valium in the IV-but the nurse spotted the tears and put it in. Ya'll may think I'm getting wacko-but I want to share this with you. (and no it's not a side affect from the valium-lol!) I prayed (again) after the tears started and when my OR nurses came in to get me the male nurse walked directly over to me, bent over the side of the bed and said "I'm your guardian angel and I'm here to let you know there's nothing wrong with your heart". Now bear in mind, I know what I just prayed. Everything went fine during the procedure. Afterwards he told me not to go anywhere the next two days. I explained that I had wound care treatments and the hyperbaric and he said - do not go anywhere the next two days. Hmmm, now what would you have done? Yesterday as I was on the phone discussing this with my dear friend Susie, the wound care center called and cancelled my next two days worth of treatments. Hmmmm, what do you think?

My heart is healthy. I also have an extra artery, I think he said. Something about the "ramus" (I think) and most people have three and I have four? He said it's uncommon but that chances are I'd never have heart problems. Guess I'll get more details from the cardiologist when I go. In the mean time I'm very sore, have a swolen groin area and purple bruises there and going down my right leg, but a healthy heart is worth it!

In the meantime, I can't take showers because of my boobies, now I can't take baths cause of my catherization wound. Gee, anyone want to invite me for Thanksgiving dinner?

Back from the hospital - sore and drugged. We did go out to lunch but I'm sure glad to be home. Going for a nap now - next
pain killer at 5.

Janice glad to hear that the cath went great!! I have such limited time hime and find tat the kids are using the puter when i have only a few min to get on!!

I have been affected by my raynaurds badly this last few days. I also have had my nerve conduction tests to my hands as then have been paining me greatly so much that it hurts to type. it is CTS atleast in the right. they ended up sticking needles in my arms and hands UGH!!! it hurt!!

the kids are doing great with the swimming. that is my rest time. watching them. work is busy but i am still enjoying my self. i have had my little stereo and speakers with me playing christmas music and dancing all day (gee i wonder why i am in bed by 9!)

I ddi find a new book i have just started to read called "the secret to low carb success!" written by Laura Richard. it sounds promising!!!

good heavens!!! let's just open a hospital ward here!!! but such a relief that janice and ruthie are doing ok. a little stinky, but ok. it's temporary...

and now, we just have sue to get through this problem. nurses with CTS have a REAL rough time.

OK, I am going to interject a little good news here--I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!! Wahoooooooo!!!!

I have to wait for a call from the guy I'm replacing so he can train me (he's retiring). Strictly weekend work but can occasionally be called in to replace our union rep when she has a meeting. I'm just thrilled but it now means my weekends are shot for at least a year. 2 12 hour shifts every weekend. But it will be so worth it to save the money to go to school

Ruthie, Janice, and Sue--you get better!!! Jiff is right--the 3FC "SICK CHICK" ward right here!

L, I hope you are OK, and yeah, I know it's hard to even THINKabout another kittie right now, give yourself till after Christmas to heal a little. You might feel differently after the stress of the holidays is over. Take good care!
