Zumba on Wii...anybody tried it?

  • As the title says...has anybody tried the Zumba game for the Wii? Here's a link to the game --> http://www.amazon.com/Zumba-Fitness-.../dp/B003OQ4B1Q

If so, do you like it? Was it a good work out? I personally don't get much out of Wii Fit or even Wii Active, but this game looks like a much more legit workout. Is it fairly user friendly/new-to-Zumba friendly?

I did a Zumba class at the gym once, and while I enjoyed the actual dancing and got a great workout from it, the class setting just wasn't for me. I'm just too inhibited and uncoordinated (and self conscious about my uncoordination) to really let loose in a Zumba class. If I could do it at home, I'd be able to go crazy and not worry about looking silly, I'd get more out of it. I'm sure there are zumba DVD's, but a Wii game would be more engaging and interactive.

Anyways, any feedback on the game or recommendations for others?
  • I am curious about this also. I have Wii Fit, and it was great when I was 274 lbs, but it's just too easy now. I haven't been to a Zumba class (I'm just not ready to be a "gym" person yet, especially if there's dancing involved, lol), but I did borrow some Zumba DVD's from a co-worker. I liked it, though the moves on the "advanced" disc would definitely take some practice...they go pretty fast.

So yeah, I'm curious about the wii version too...hope you get some responses/opinions!
  • I Love Zumba for the wii I do it 4-5 times a week and I feel like I get a good workout and there are 3 different levels to chose from and right now I am on easy and if you do Zumba party you have to do one or two workouts to unlock more workouts and that is what I am working on right now but it is alot of fun and I like the music and it goes in 4-5 min segments so you get a couple seconds to catch your breath before the next segment starts but I give it 5 stars
