  • This has been such a long journey and its shocking to think I'm so close to my goal. I started battling my weight around March 2009 and I have lost, as of today, a total of 152lbs. The goal I had picked for myself at the beginning was 140lbs...which would bring me to a healthy weight for my height. Being only 8lbs away from that goal is exciting and scary too. Once I get to 140lbs I will decide from there if I want to continue the journey any further before settling into the maintaining lifestyle. <3

  • awesome what have you been doing as far as excercise/your plan?
  • I had started out just with diet. Then slowly incorporated walks and pilates. After I felt strong enough, I did 2 rounds of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and then moved onto 2 rounds of P90X. After my laptop broke, which had ALL my workout videos on it lol, I took about a 2 month break and I am now currently doing a combination of 30DS & Jillian's Yoga Meltdown.

  • valencia2011 - I did not follow the programs specifically. I did the workouts as directed but followed my own diet plan. I stick to a 1200-1500 calorie intake per day and try and keep it low carb/ low fat. Some days are better than others and I do allow myself a treat every once in a while. I also try and drink at least 64oz of water each day.

    edited to add: I do not drink any form of soda and very very rarely drink juice. I also try to stay away from cheese and I can't even remember the last time I tasted mayo. lol
  • Oh wow, you look awesome! Congrats on such a huge accomplishment! And I just finished the lean program of P90X to congrats to you for completing two rounds of it! I know you must feel great!!!!
  • Ashley829 - Thank you so much! I did the classic version first, then my second round I did the Lean. I loved them both! I can't wait to get back into P90X. I def want to do Classic again.

    I plan on doing another round at some point, but I was ready to get into a new routine after those 13 weeks straight! Lol. I still use some of the workouts though because they are so great.
