Under 200 by 30

  • Hi, my name is Sara and I am married, a mom to two little boys and a full-time college student.

    I turn 30 this September and my goal is to be under 200 pounds by my birthday. I currently weight about 260. Ideally, I would like to weigh around 150 but I realize that will take awhile.

    I have always been overweight but as the last decade has gone by my weight has steadily increased.

    My husband and I have recently turned our lifestyle upside down. We have joined our local YMCA and started counting calories.

    I hope by joining this forum I am able to stay focused and on track. I also hope it will help occupy my mind in the evenings when my urge to eat is the strongest.

    It sounds as though you have put some great strategies in place for getting healthier. This is a great forum as you can always find support or a sympathetic ear when needed.

    Look around, find one or many spots that feel right, and jump on in! We have one spot you may want to check out - the 100 lb club, for those on their way to losing or who have lost 100 lbs or more. We also have groups by eating plan, so you'll have lots to explore (and to distract you!).
