Chrissy and samsG--going back to school has alwasy been part of the plan, I was just waiting for that second blessed babe to arrive. Since that isn't going to happen, I can pursue the career I want the most, working with small ones

Meowna, I'm so glad you found joy in your adoption experience, and the love that can flow from that very special relationship. I would also love to adopt, however, my husband does not. I understand his reasons and I have accepted it. I will find my joy in the classroom, a place I am most comfortable in.


Wow, Jenny, I never knew! And you have two very special boys to boot. Unfortunately for me, I have some very serious medical problems that only make the ttc journey that much more difficult. If by an absolute miracle from God that I did get pg, then it was just truly meant to be and nothing more since my body isn't participating.

Oh Stacey, you know the ttc journey oh so well. Full of angst and frustration and depression and moods swings and the whole nine yards. I am personally glad to be done with it and being able to get on with my life Thanks for sharing your story!

Linda, you're right, it would be the magic that would have to happen in my case. And you never know what can happen if it was really meant to be...

Life is happening so fast I have hardly been home and my house looks like 2 nor easter has hit my house and they are called older boy and little man! Not a chance to get to it before Saturday.

Company next week, 25 for thanksgiving here...Chanukah next Friday....wish me luck.

Pooky~~ When will you start school? You know I always loved school especially the first day when everything you had was new. The notebooks without a single mark in them the books with the spotless pages. I loved with the boys got their homeschool things in the mail. I was having a fit over everything that they just said, "Mom it's books you get to see them all the time" they think I"m odd


I was up this morning at 5:30 to see DH off for work and make him his lunch. I make the lunch because if he would he'd never but the fresh veggies on the sandwiches or pack any fresh fruit. I think his lunch would be Twinkies and Doritos. Plus it saves us quiet a bit of money not buying lunch everyday. After he left I sat down on the sofa with my favorite quilt and started to read. The next think I know I was being awaked by my DS#3 with a sly grin, "Good mornining mommy". I asked them what they did while I was asleep. They played with their G.I. Joes. I dont like getting a late start like this but I think I was dragging and didn't know I was that tierd.

Today will be my first day of de-yeasting. I'm trying to prepare my self for some of the ill feelings I've been cautioned about. Hopefully, I'll be one of the lucky ones that dont get the upset stomach feelings.


So, off the school the kids. No park today, no violin lessons just a low key day sounds good to me. Maybe an art project this afternoon. The only thing I need to do is Mt. Laundry....it's growing as we speak!!!

Pooky - There is an eleven year age difference between Melissa (DD) and Stephen (DS). I was told by four specialists that after DD I couldn't have anymore children. I accepted that and felt my "adopted" and step children were added blessings in my life. Then I was truly blessed with Stephen and Michael. So, Big Hugs to you. I'm sure your decision to continue forward was a very difficult one for you.

Today is another all dayer with doctors and treatments. Yesterday was the pre-op for the heart catherization. I'm scheduled for Monday morning for the procedure.

My dad was released from the hospital yesterday. I'm a bit concerned that he pushed it. My dad isn't a complainer but did tell me this morning that he had one male nurse that was a butt and seemed to take pleasure in inflicting pain. But at least all is well and he's home. My brother was able to make arrangements for a hospital bed which dad said is a God send. Again, thank you all for your prayers.

I'm not real sure how my puppies are doing. Today is my next appointment at the wound care center so I suppose I'll find out. I can tell that some of the swelling has finally gone down. I've only had two hyperbaric treatments but the difference is surprising.

Lucy was glad to see me - it was a two pee welcome! Harry was glad too but no peeing! Great visit with my DD - we just kind of hung out, drank coffee, talked about Christmas past, read to the 3 year old (who adores me!), helped Jessica (nearly 11) with her homework, farted around with houseplants ..... the kind of stuff we'd do together if we lived near each other! We did not do any touring because it was so rainy! I didn't gain and didn't lose - just acted like a normal person - foodwise.

Had a great time with LindaBC - now I know the view she has from her kitchen window. She has a lovely garden which we did not tour because of the damned rain! It really is the "wet" coast!
Oh well, next time.

Between now and next Wednesday, I need to get my Christmas shopping done and mailed, my house cleaned, Country Christmas costumes found and ironed, a ton of baking for the bake sale on the 30th and finish a grant application! Oy! Once I have the left wrist op, I'll be just hanging out so will be posting more. So don't worry if I'm not in here much. I definitely will snoop so don't talk about me!

Pooky - go for it! Going back to school is fun. Did I ever tell you that I got my ECE? Already had a teaching degreaa but just loved working with the wee ones. You will love it and a happy Mum is a good Mum for Miree.

Sherrie, so sorry I missed your birthday and that it was sort of crappy for you. Celebrate the rest of the week as the Southern chicks advise.

I'm way behind on reading posts and DH is whining for lunch. Funny, he had lunch every day when I was away but is now incapable! I think I'll throw a Michelina pasta dinner at him. He bought them for me because he thought I'd like them. Yoou can tell he is still a bit unclear on the concept of low carb!

Well, it's only 11 am here so I still haven't wasted a full half day. LOL. I have made a blueberry Clafoutti for my hubby's desserts for the next few days. It sure smells good in here but that kind of dessert is a no-no for me. I'm wondering if I could somehow make it low carb. It really doesn't have much flour ...just 2/3 cup...so I could probably use soy flour (yuck) and ground nuts. Hmmmm.
Soon I will have to leave to pick up my friend who has to go to physio twice a week since her knee replacement surgery. She's doing very well, but still isn't allowed to drive. This makes her grumpy because she says it's not even her driving leg that was operated on. I don't mind driving her and it gives us a chance for a bit of a visit on the way there and back.
Ruth, I wish you luck getting all that done in such a short time. I finally bought my Christmas cards yesterday (the sick humor kind that I like because I'm such a Grinch). Now I just have to get started writing them. This year I'm feeling so grumpy about the whole festive season that I'm not even going to write a letter with them. Bah Humbug! If younger daughter and her hubby were going to be here I could probably summon up a bit more of the old Christmas spirit but they're not and the other daughter and her family are all busy doing their own thing. We will probably only get together once on Christmas Eve at her place.
Sorry, I shouldn't inflict my miserable self on all you bright-eyed, bushy tailed Christmas lovers. LOL I may improve as the season progresses, but I doubt it.
Believe it or not though, I have bought a few gifts already. I tend to buy multiple gifts for the people who are easy to buy for and nothing for the ones who aren't...like my hubby. LOL

Oh, Linday you make me laugh. I thought I was the Grinch. I dont think I've ever been one to go all out for Christmas. I dont even send cards. If I didn't have kids I know I wouldn't even put up a tree. This year I told them that the bisque ornaments that they paint will be going on the tree that they put up with daddy. Notice I try not to even put up the tree A few days after Christmas the tree comes down......boom. Everything is back to normal and all the Christmas gifts are put away.

I dont know why I am like this. My mom goes hog wild and decorates anything that doesn't move. My in-laws have two trees in their house.
Maybe it's because I have such little time to really do anything.

Who knows. I will admit that the Grinch is my favoirte Christmas time movie...my favorite scene...when he put's those reindeer antlers on the dog and makes him pull that heavy sleigh. In the non animated story with Jim Carey it's when he's making his excuse list why he cant to go Who Ville and celebrate. I love that movie!! !!! Yea, I dont like dogs either !!

Shhhhh I am putting up my xmas decorations today, tree this weekend, hee hee hee (big kid in disguise here)

I'm torn between too much Christmas spirit and not enough. Depends on the year. I tend to overextend myself with projects and then it's not enjoyable, but if I don't do the project I feel like somethings missing.

Can I join the Grinch club? This from the lady who puts up the tree 7 days before Christmas and takes it down that afternoon. I hate plugging it in, so we hardly ever light it up, either! Gifts are usually last minute because this holiday sneaks up on me every year. Example, I only get 2 paychecks between now and then, so I'm going to have to do some creative gifting this year. Hmmm, maybe gift certificates?? I am so awful!

Crappy day continues around here, me and BF had a huge fight last night, so he's ex-BF now. Oh, well, for 3 weeks it was pure bliss!! Besides, there's plenty more fish in the sea, huh? Anyone want to double date?

You guys are making me laugh! I am a Christmas woman--love the holiday and am passing it on to my wee one. I have to admit, when I was younger I just didn't get the meaning of Christmas and just saw it as too commercialized and blah, blah, blah so it was really hard for me to get into it. Now that I have a wee one of my own I understand that it's ain't about me, it's about everyone else.

How bad am I? Lights are on the house and lit, decorations around my house--the tree will be going up Dec. 1st and not a speck later. I have no less than 6 parties and now one parade to attend/throw/ be apart of--and I love every minute of it.

Now my dh...different story, him and the Grinch could make great company!

have you ever had some article of clothing that seems doomed? i just bought this lovely long sleeved blue t shirt about a month ago, and every time i wear it, i spill stuff on it. today, it's coffee [twice] and iced tea and now peanut sauce.

it's been busy. and i can tell that ALL of you have been as well. as usual. and janice, i'm so glad that you're going to the wound care center. they're wonderful facilities and work miracles.

i might be finished with physical therapy, although my OTHER knee is acting up.

the big news, though, is that mom has started PT, and after two consecutive days, she actually seems more alert!! it's tiring for her, but she actually said that she felt a bit better already!!!

cross your fingers, legs, puppies, boobs, whatever, for luck!!!

can't answer everyone. you're all too busy!!!

have to take a shower. get ready for bed.
