I promised myself I would not be that person...

  • ... who almost made it to goal weight, and then rediscovered cupcakes, and then stayed away for a year. Unfortunately, I weighed in at 127 today, up from 115 a year ago.

    Luckily, that helped me snap and realize I needed to be back here on 3FC and regain control of my life. So, from the trenches of fall exams and just in time for the holidays, I'm here to reaffirm my commitment to exercise (which I have always loathed), healthy eating, and fitting into my spring dresses in three months.

    I hope to get to know all of you better as we go after our goals! Here's to holiday season full of good choices and a wonderful new year.
  • Seriously, congratulations on halting it there and getting back on form.

    I made it almost to goal weight, mostly through intuitive eating, continued to trust my 'intuition' and regained 89lbs.

  • Welcome, and congratulations on making your way back to weight loss! I've been where you are: I regained from 113 to 129. The second time around has been much more successful for me. I hope the same for you. And, unlike me, you did not regain all the weight you lost, so you are already ahead of the game.

  • lackadaisy, thanks so much for the wakeup call. I am slowly but surely slipping out of my weight loss mentality...I was as close as 4 pounds to goal, and now I'm back up to 8 pounds. I am determined to get it together before it gets out of control, like you did!

  • At least you stopped it now, rather than letting another year go by. That takes a lot of will power. And just think, you have already done this once, you can surely do it again.
