have the first get together tonight. i know in advance what people are bringing. pot luck type thing. can't believe the unhealthy stuff they want to bring. we are bringing the main meat, pulled pork, all sauces on the side. i have been through the menu and tried bringing up the basic recipes and using the NI and dividing the servings in half.
There is going to be corn pudding, baked beans, mac and cheese, sweet potato soufflé, apple pie, banana pudding, crescent rolls. i figure if i get about 1/4 to 1/2 cup than i should be good. total of about 18 points.
i had hand surgery last week, so didn't eat but 3 days on plan, the others were what i could fix one handed. this is my first full week on plan i want to make it through.
what are your thoughts?

Yikes! That would be tough. I'd probably bring the pork plus a big tossed salad to add to the buffet. Fill half your plate with salad and little bits of the rest. Good luck!
Oh yes tomorrow a rep is bringing breakfast- I probably won't partake. And then next Monday is a cookie party- I said I'd participate but I'm not going to eat any of the cookies and then I'm bringing devilled eggs and won't be eating anything that's not vegetables or protein. The cookies I'll be taking home for the family but won't be eating.
THEN the Thursday after that is another potluck and I plan on bringing devilled eggs again (yes I don't feel like cooking lol) and again not eating anything that isn't protein or veggies. So definitely NO desserts for me!
I have a buffett Sat. morning then going to Newport for Sunday and Monday with my bf. He wants to do dinner and have drinks at a bar for the Pats game. Guess i'll be having a glass of wine doused with soda water to last me 3 hrs lol! Then we have our work party but i may leave right after it starts due to not wanting to eat the food!! It's hard. The other night my family had pizza and i had a lean cuisine pizza to feel like i was part of it! I want weight loss more i keep telling myself! Good luck at the party, i'm sure you'll do fine.
