Mexican Restaurant

  • Hi Everyone!

    My aunt and I are going out to lunch to a place called Mexican Gardens. That particular restaurant is not listing in my Dining out Guide and I tried looking up the website to find nutrition information regarding their chicken fajitas with no luck! I know it says 11 points in my pocket guide but I wanted to get the exact calorie, fat, and fiber count for the way they prepare their fajitas. Should I just go with 11 points?
  • if 11 points is the set points, then that is what i'd use. also i would skip the sour cream and cheese, and use salsa and guacamole instead
  • My aunt ended up canceling on me so I took my daughter to McDonald's where I had a Southwest Salad minus chicken, fat free italian, and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. 5 points total! Kind of glad I didn't do Mexican today because I tend to go overboard with the chips and salsa.
  • I love mexican food. I make my own burritos. I use low fat refried beans, with chopped up tomatoes, lettuce, and low fat cheese. I also had salsa on top and rooooll it up. One of my favorite meals and pretty healthy overall.
  • I'm going to try that tomorrow for dinner, I've been dying for Mexican Food all week! I hate going to the restaurant because I tend to go overboard on the chips and salsa. Those bowls are the devil!

    I also have some low-carb tortillas here that are 1 point a piece which is pretty awesome =D
