Small Changes

  • I have been counting calories since the beginning of the month which is also when i started incorporating more veggies, fruit and whole wheat back into my life. I started limiting my calories about a week ago. 1200-1800/day, usually around 1400.

I am starting to notice some small changes and it's making me feel great! The first one that has really taken me by surprise is that I am more awake in the morning. While I still have not gotten up early enough to exercise, I am slowly but surely starting to get out of bed sooner. When I do get out of bed, I feel more alert! I will never be a happy morning person, but I am enjoying this change!!!

My stomach is smaller, so I get fuller faster. I like being able to eat a protein bar and be full. I definitely eat more often throughout the day, but it's smarter choices.

While I have only lost 5 pounds, I can feel that 5 pounds gone. When I walk, I feel less jiggle (there's still plenty left though) and when I put on a pair of pants this morning they were slightly looser even though they just came out of the dryer.

Paying more attention to my body and how it responds to food has really helped! I am so stoked to continue this for the rest of my life. I'm sure there will be set-backs and hard times, but changing my view on food and how I respond to it will help me through it!

  • That's awesome, you're making really great progress already! Isn't it great to notice the payoff of switching to a more healthy lifestyle show itself in so many different parts of your life each day? Those little perks throughout the journey are really great motivation to keep on track.

Great job and keep up the good work!

I also fine I am motivated to get out of bed and eat breakfast! lol, I am not a morning person either but now it seems when I wake up I am STARVING and I just want to get up, eat, and get goin!

I know what you mean about feeling thinner...I've only lost 1 lb the past few weeks, but I FEEL thinner. I am not sure how to explain it, but I just do.

    Keep up the awesome work!!!
