Flattering bras for women with small breasts?

  • Hi everyone

I'm trying to find a great bra that is flattering to my small breasts. If you have a small bust, what is your favourite bra and why?

I have been using a Wacoal padded bra which isn't bad. They do a wide range of sizes so they cater to bigger women who also happen to have small breasts like I do.

I tried the Nu-Bra, you know that as-seen-on-TV adhesive bra? It's actually pretty good! It gives decent enough cleavage without fat rolls, the only issue is that the outline of the cups can be a bit obvious, so I have to wear a fitted cami over it to smooth it out. They need replacing after a few months but they're quite comfy!

It's hard finding a nice bra when you're overweight but have smaller breasts!

    Any recommendations or raves?

    Thanks!
  • I was just wondering about this an hour ago! I hope people have some suggestions.

I usually wear a 32A in Calvin Klein, which runs a small thankfully. But even the A cup is now seeming too big, ugh!!

For a decent fit, but not the greatest made items I also go to jrs stores like H&M or Forever21. They run small and have smaller sizes in stock in most styles.
  • i'm a VS girl through & through! i'm barely a B, so i know how you feel. i wear the VS Very Sexy Push-up and it's AMAZING! for a cheaper alternative, i also have worn the PINK brand of VS push-up bra in plain colors that runs around $20... and it feels and looks great too! they also go up to size 40, i believe.
  • With my weight loss my bust really shrunk Victoria's secret player and biofit work wonders for me now. They are padded but don't feel uncomfortable.
  • go to Nordstom for a bra fitting. big or small they do a fab job. once you know your size (most women wear the wrong size) you can find great stuff online!
  • Like the VS Bio Fit too!
  • VS doesn't cater to the truly small breasted woman.

I'm a 34AA or so and I buy juniors' bras whose cups either run very small or contain a lot of padding. I am totally flat now.

When I was heavier I wore a 38AA and found that Playtex "Just My Size" in Nearly A was a good fit, but I'm not sure if that's available in Oz.
  • Well well well. I was bra shopping this yesterday and it was ROUGH. I had a breast reduction a few years ago at 247lbs and I went from a 42ddd to a 42 B...not an easy size to find. Then I ballooned up after having my baby and was a 46 C. Now that I've lost so much weight...I'm not really sure what to wear. I tried a 38 B and it was a bad bad fit. One side seeped out the front and I haven't had that problem since I was a dd/ddd...lopsided tatas. Well I tried on a 38 C with underwire and pushup which made my tatas look like I had some breast propped up but no under wire or pushup leaves me looking flat and sad. I've been wearing a 38 C Izod Under wire with padding and the cups are near empty to hear my husband tell it. The ones I tried on yesterday were Victoria Secret. My only problem with the VS bras were they made the back fat more evident but the tatas look great. I'm looking for something that makes the tatas look great as well as it won't cut into the back fat. I was thinking I need something bigger in the band so I tried a 40 c and it was way too big...not sure what's gonna work at this point. ANY HELP for me???
  • Have you gotten a professional fitting? Get one at every store you try on bras, because the sizes vary between brands.

Try a demi cup, they make small boobs look fab.

Also, if you have a back fat issue, that can easily be remedied by a spanx tank, or something similar. it's just a tank that holds everything in - great to wear under fitted clothing.
  • Zeff - thanks for the tip on the spanx tank. When I wear a bra that doesn't allow the girls to escape when I lift my arms my back fat is on display. I'm getting ready to go to see the inlaws and I don't want to look like my bra is to little or too big. Nor do I want to back fat looking like it needs a bra.
