gout and type 2 diabetes

  • I've tried alot of diets and the only one that seemed to work for a little while was Nutrisystem but I had to quit that after 2 months since I caught gout.

Ever since that time, I've tried other diets and continue to get gout. I've had gout 18 times now in 3 years. I don't want it again.

And then I found out I was type 2 diabetic.

I am proud to say that my glucose levels are not out of whack.

I need to find a diet or rather a meal delivery plan that will send me foods that are not high protein, not low fat, no foods high in pureens, and then on top of all that, the plan must be for diabetics.

    Any suggestions?
  • Maybe you could google that -- have you tried those frozen entrees you can get at your local grocery like Weight Watchers & Lean Cuisine, as they are more balanced which seems to help those of us with pre-diabetes or diabetes. For breakfast, you can have a nice omelette + whole grain toast; OR cereal & fruit (I would alternate days).

Lunch can be a frozen meal; OR soup & sandwich; OR pre-made salad with lean meat + a slice of whole grain bread. For fruit, lean towards the berries for 1-2 servings a day. For dinner, you could have a frozen dinner; OR lean meat & lots of veggies/salad. There are a lot of options out there; just watch your portions.
