Been losing the last 10 pounds for the last 10 years.

  • Hello! This is my first time posting - I joined because I've been on the wagon and off the wagon for a long time now. I know how to exercise and what to eat... it's just the commitment part. So, 3 Fat Chicks, here I am, and I'm glad to be here. I'm at 133lbs and I'm going on a cruise December 26th, and I hope to be 123lbs. If I can reach that goal I'll get a spankin' new bathingsuit
Thanks for reading and the best to you all!
  • chicksahoy (great screen name, btw!).

Check out my stats -- I started at 137 and my original goal was 127, then 125, then 123, now 120. But really I'm happy right around 123 -- the 120 is just to give me a buffer. So we're right in the same zone.

Do you have a specific food plan or exercise plan?

Glad you're here -- keep us posted on your progress!
  • and chicksahoy ... I know the feeling I seem to have been losing and gaining the same 10 for the last 10 years also *sigh* ... BUT WE can do this we just have to be consistent ...
  • HI! Welcome and best of luck, is it ok to let you know that your awesome screen name is making me want Chipsahoy cookies? Yummy! That sounds good!
  • Thanks for the warm welcomes! It certainly helps to keep one motivated!

Yes, Amy, our stats are really similar - congrats on reaching your goal, that's great. Definitely an inspiration. I haven't been in the low 120's since high school. I don't really have an exercise plan - I just try to work out for an hour at least 4 x week. But like my weight, my appearance at the gym is on again off again. (It was yesterday as I left the gym that I decided I needed to find a support group to avoid the off again).

Sometimes I can get really specific with food and count every calorie and macro nutrient, but right now I'm just eyeballing it. 3-4 oz. lean meat with a small cup of starch and hopefully some vegetables in there as well. The 'health' meal I love best is a protein shake I mix with ice into a smoothy... chocolate protein powder, 1 banana, chocolate almond milk, 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter. It's under 300 cals and it's sooo tasty!

Yes, Ilene, WE CAN do it!

Ha, ha, sorry about the cookie temptation

Catch you all later and thanks again!

  • Welcome! Our stats are really similar, except I started out a lot heavier than that. Those last 10 lbs are a real pain. I'm right here with you, except the lightest I've ever been is 128.
  • Hey, Krampus! This is pretty cool, communicating with people from across the globe about losing the last 10 pounds! Do you have a date in mind for your goal?
  • It was a minigoal of 128 by Christmas but I'm currently ahead of schedule...maybe I can push it back to 125. My goal for August of next year when I move back to the U.S. is 120 or thereabouts.

The whole world wants to lose ten pounds, aha! Seems like everyone in Japan is "on a diet" their whole lives.
