Please gods just....ARRRGH!!!!!!!!!!

  • Over the past few weeks when I get home from work ( where there is no temptation and you can only eat what you bring, where it's safe ) I just eat...anything. Crisps (chips) Cake, Biscuits (cookies) Bread.. just anything. I can't seem to stop it. I can feel myself slipping backwards. I don't dare weigh myself.

I just want my stomach to dissappear so I won't ever feel hungry again. I just look down and want to slice the fat off.

I'm not the sort of binger who eats vast amounts of anything, I just graze on EVERYTHING. I don't know how to stop it. I can't afford to move out, mother refuses to stop baking...I'm just trapped here and I can't get out.

I can't motivate myself to go to the Gym or any classes past Monday's aerobics...

    I'm lost.
  • OMG I feel your pain. I also went through that phase. BUT do you eat anything at work? Perhaps if you ate at work then you wouldn't come home famished and so you wouldn't binge. I never ate anything at work and then I would go home and just eat anything I could find. But, then I started to take lunch with me and would eat yogurt or cottage cheese before I left work and could go home, prepare dinner without starving.
We all feel the same way after a binge, I can relate to wanting to slice my belly fat off!
How about trying a work out you enjoy? Something like a kick boxing class or martial arts. We all enjoy different exercises so maybe the gym is not for you.
Don't give up. Tomorrow is another day.
  • Can you make a warm drink and sip that right when you get home - it seems more filling and more interesting that water ... hot tea, hot light cocoa, etc.? Or tomato juice - high in sodium, but it is a veggie...

GOOD LUCK - if you need something else, can you just say three days a week, I'll have this small snack ... then two, then only once a week, etc. Then you can still look forward to it but not try to have a totally off-limit food?
  • could you do something that eases your stress?
for me that would be cardio. cathe has some great dvds i love. i cant do her exercises on a full stomach, after i might just lay there lol. you could go on a walk. i always feel better just getting out the house when its like that. just anything you would enjoy. or maybe you could pin point your stress? is it the emotion or the food that is the trigger?
try to redo the situation in your head. how do you want to react? come up with a realistic plan, and rehearse it several times in your head. hth.
  • I can't have that stuff in my house for that reason. I am not that strong! (yet) I hope to one day be as my kids like to have treats but right now I make sure I have plenty of low fat/cal snacks around. Good luck to you!! You can do it!
