Need to get my coffee creamy without adding a lot of calories. I was using powdered coffee creamer but that's 60 cals a cup to get it as creamy as i like it. I use splenda to sweeten so I am good on the sweet part. Is it at least more healthy to use whole milk although the cals will be the same?

hmm... does it have to be creamy?? I use Flavor for Coffee from Splenda, which give my coffee flavor and I don’t need to use any other sweetener. It comes in Caramel, Cinnamon Spice, French Vanilla, Mocha, and Hazelnut. Only tried the last tree flavors and Mocha is my favorite. But still want to try the other 2.
They are ZERO calories!!!

Well, the powdered stuff usually uses hydrogenated oils, which is not good. I'd say the milk would be better. I like really creamy coffee too, but I budget for actual cream once a day and skim milk if I have another cup.

I imagine if you look around there is a lower cal creamer that is better for you.

Coffee Mate sugar free creamers have 15 calories per tablespoon. How much do you have to put in? That might save you a few calories.

They make light and low fat creamers too. Try coffee mate.

I have been putting Chocolate Light Silk in my coffee - SO YUMMY. But I am not sure if that would be as creamy as you are looking for.

I use Mini Moo's, they are 10 cals in each little tub. I'm a "blonde" coffee drinker, my Mom used to say that it was cream-with-coffee, lol.

Try Mini Moo's? It's all measured out for you so you don't go over. I'm always happy with 2.

Well, I don't know if you can get lower than the 60 calories you're using for creamy coffee. I know what you mean, I love my coffee creamy too.

Thanks I will try out all of these ideas. I love coffee and will easily drink 4-5 cups a day. It's just too many calories to drink each day with the powdered creamer.

land o lakes makes fat free half and half which is 20 cals for 2 Tbs

I've been trying the So Delicious Coconut Milk..makes it a little creamy, not a blond coffee though. I usually count 100-200 calories for my coffee creamer, yeah... it's definitely one of those things I can't give up, atleast not yet.

For *me*, I use 1/2 & 1/2 MEASURED out by the teaspoon. It is the only ingredient I measure with a spoon (rest of measurements is with the scale). Since it is the one I use to stir with, its okay. I do not pour mindlessly into my coffee. That could end up being 1/8 cp

I also use fat free half and half and I love it! You can get the Land O Lakes or look at Walmart or Kroger (stores I shop at) for their brands, which are just as good and often cheaper.

Wow, such great ideas! I am so glad I am not the only one who purposely includes coffee creamer calories!

I do measure with a tablespoon and use 2 tbsp per cup with the powdered creamer. It's only 60 calories per cup but that is just an awful lot of artificial calories with no nutritional value and like I said, I am a coffee drinker so it's not just a cup a day.
