I'm not sure what forum I should put this under ..... but here it goes.... I've lost almost 100 pounds and Halloween is coming I want to wear something that will look great (sexy) on me but I have no clue what..... So have any of you bought a costume that you just loved and it look great on you... keep in mind I still have about 40 pounds to go before I'm at my goal weight so I'm plus sized still... Please let me know what costume you wore and If you have any pictures you could send that would be great! I was boarder patrol last year and I looked huge. and this year I want to show off my new body lol Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Since we live so far apart I will share my Halloween plans...LOL I am going to be Medusa. Tight snakeskin corset with a flowing sheer skirt and stripper heels. I love it....or at least the sketches I've done. We shall see if the execution is as good =)

If you have a great costume shop near you--even a place that rents costumes--you may want to hit it. Many of the better places have fitting rooms--that way you will know for certain rather than buying something from a plastic bag and hoping for the best.

Also, what do you have in your closet already that makes you look amazing? Do you have a hot black dress??? Maybe you could drape it in super thin black toole like fabric and get a zany witches hat--add some super long fingernails and voila. Or what about black furry kitty ears with a tail on the back?

Just some ideas but you get the generality of what I mean.

I like corsets and lingerie for Halloween costumes (I know, I'm so original). If you get the right corset, it can be very flattering. And they always make me feel sexy. Just my opinion

I also have stomach issues. I did a cute little go go like dress with a hoop skirt one year when I was a pumpkin. I know a pumpkin sounds boring but it was a couples costume, my husband was Peter pumpkin eater (orange paint on his face)... classy I know. Anyway the hoop skirt really helped me feel better about my stomach, no clingy material. Maybe you could find something like that.

LOL I'm going as a group though. My girl friend is going to be the pink haired e-surance girl, her man is going to be the Geico caveman, my Sam is going to be the General, and our friend Jammie is going to be the Gecko.

Torrid, Party City and Spirit all have plus size costumes. I always thought the bee and the ladybug costumes were cute also the sailor costumes were really cute too!

A cute pirate costume with a skirt would be cute! Most are pretty covered at the waist because of the style.

Basically anything that comes in at the waist, really. If you're into pirates you could find a corset with a black frilly skirt and a cape or black trench or something.

I'm being Flo too!! I already got my wig, apron, pants, shoes and polo. I ordered a headband and got my button-making-materials, .

My husband is being Alan from The Hangover.... sigh.
