newbie phase 2 question

  • I am trying South Beach and bringing along my very-Southern hubby for the ride. He's doing ok so far.

    I know that oatmeal is allowed once we get to phase 2, but what about grits, even just occasionally? Poor guy is going through withdrawl.

    He is being a good sport and very supportive, so I would like to make things easier on him if I can.

  • Grits are made from corn and not allowed on SB Phase I or II.

  • Poor hubby. I feel his pain, though...cheddar cheese grits are my fave breakfast food. I have cheated and had them some mornings, but I don't do breakfast very often anyway.
