So yeah, I'm sure this isn't the typical post you read but I wrote this poem this morning and I thought I'd share it with everyone. I've found my weight has been creeping into my writing more and more lately but I can understand why. If this is inappropriate, please let me know.
Scaling Defeat
----------------
I’ve got a daily visit with the scale,
I’m determined that this time I won’t fail,
Repeatedly I’ve failed or given up in the past,
This time I’m going to succeed at last,
In the past I really didn’t give it my all,
Which explains why success came to a stall,
The fear of failure still sits in my mind,
But its effects on me I’m leaving behind,
Success is the only place I have left to go,
It’ll take what feels like forever I know,
But eventually I’ll get to where I want to be,
And that’s a happier and thinner version of me.
