For those of you who have lost weight doing calorie counting but started out at a lower weight (not overweight but had weight to lose), did you lose a lot the first few weeks or did it take awhile for the weightloss to kick in?
I just started this 2 weeks ago (almost) and I'm in the same boat. I am already in the "normal range" for weight but in the upper end of normal, so I'm looking to lose 10 pounds. From what I've heard, it might be a slower loss for people like us. I'm kind of going up and down with the same two pounds so far. LOL
Being smaller, your body's not going to need as many calories to do the same amount of work as someone who's larger. Unfortunately, the smaller you get, the slower your weight loss is going to be.
There's not much you can do about it, but I would say start doing some weight training if you're not already. Muscle burns more calories than fat, even when you're resting.
I do go in the featherweight forum often. I was just seeing if maybe calorie counting has a slower weight loss in the beginning. I have heard stories where some featherweights lost 3 pds their first week and then it slowed, and then there are people like me who go up and down the same number..I guess patience is the key!
