Hello there!

  • Hi everyone! My name is Shelley.I'm 25 years young in ATL and I'm trying to lose 90lbs by June 2011. I've been exercising everyday and am becoming quite the gym rat lol I have recently lost 7 pounds and joined this site to learn techniques and meet new ppl who understand what I'm going through and who will support me and hold me accountable for what I do. I hit my personal best yesterday- one straight hour on the elliptical( i could only do 2 minutes when I started) so I am proud and trying to continue that trend. Last night, though, I cheated with Arbys- but I did opt for bottled water instead of pop- and now I'm kicking myself... See! one of you shouldve said "step AWAY from the curly fries and nobody gets hurt lol Hope to chat with a few of you soon.

    Welcome. What an incredible difference you've made! To have your endurance improve that much must feel glorious. I remember that first day on the elliptical, wanting to couch up my spleen. Ahh the good old days.

    Progress not perfection! The more we restrict our food the more we fight back, it helps to plan all kinds of foods occasionally

    I too, have become a gym rat. I went from abhorring exercise that was repetitive to really enjoying my time at the gym. I just hit the same goal- 1 hour on the elliptical! The first day I was there a month ago, I did 10 minutes and almost fell when I got off the machine from jelly legs! Now I do an hour no problem, so I'm excited that you can too! You should be soooo proud of yourself, keep up the good work!
