Am I eating to much?

  • I feel fat tonight!
I've been eating really healthy with portion control...but maybe I'm eating to much and I don't think I am...
Here is what I ate today..
Breakfast:2 cage free eggs..no oil..minimal salt..with a green apple cut up and 4 strawberries on the side

lunch: grilled fish (100cal) 2 fresh home grown peppers grilled and 3 medium home grown tomatoes (no seasoning, minimal salt)

    snack: 1 apple

Dinner: 3 medium eggs boiled , 3 tomatoes

snack: 4 strawberries and a small banana... end at 6p.m.

I feel full and I'm starting to think that im eating a lot, but I hate calorie counting.
  • it doesn't sound like you are eating too much, but you might try getting some more variety in your diet, especially green leafy veggies. and drink lots of water. some days i just "feel" fat, too, even if the scale is the same. who knows?
  • If that's all you are eating, then you are undereating. If you still feel full, it's probably psychological. How long have you been doing this?
  • I've been doing it for over two weeks now..i dont feel that im under eating at all i hate being hungry so i try to keep the same schedule of when im going to eat..and if i feel hungry i usually eat an apple to hold me over until my next meal... i just wanted to be sure im not over eating..
  • No, you're definitely not overeating.

In fact, I could never stick to what you are eating - I'd be starving!

I need lots more volume than that, more calories and a wee bit more variety. Do you really feel that this is something that you can sustain? In fact, is it something that you WANT to sustain?

Think low and no fat dairy products, sauteed and roasted veggies, luscious gigantic salads, grilled chicken, thick and hearty soups... There's really good food out there that's not high calorie. Eating well, losing weight doesn't have to be unpleasant - just the opposite in fact. You might want to try expanding your menu.

And as for calorie counting, you mentioned you hate it. Well, for me, I hated being overweight. True once you start it seems a bit daunting, but very quickly you will see that it's nothing at all - and the rewards are tremendous. So it's time very well spent.
  • An egg is about 70 calories. From my rough calculations, you are eating around 1,000 calories, maybe less.
