A little back story on this outfit...my husband surprised my with this skirt almost 1 1/2 years ago after he say me eying it wistfully at the store. It was the last one left, and the reason I didn't get it was because I just knew it was too small. But he went back and got it, not knowing why I didn't get it in the first place. So, as thrilled as I was at the surprise, it kind of broke my heart to tell him I couldn't wear it. So it was just one of those things I put in the back of my closet with the other clothes I couldn't fit into, but kept "just in case"...I didn't know, or really think about the weight I would need to lose in order to wear this outfit out in public, I just knew I really wanted to be able to wear it someday. When I took this picture, it was the middle of May and I had just started my "lifestyle change" and was still 342 pounds, and it was so tight I couldn't even sit in it, and I even split the zipper on the skirt (thankfully it was fixable!) Well, my 28th birthday is just under 2 weeks away, and I decided to be a big brave girl and try on my skirt. IT FITS!!! And my husband laughed as he took the pictures tonight cause I had to keep pulling at it because it and the shirt are just a little too big now! But you won't hear me complain! I'm gonna wear my too big skirt out to dinner on my birthday with my husband, and every time I have to pull it up, I'll just smile at how far I've come.
