This past Friday I got my Lap Band!! I'm so excited about it!! The best part was due to my medical conditions my insurance paid for it in full.

Now I'm looking for some support from others who have been there.

Right now I'm still on clear liquids. I am a little hungry though I must admit and every once in a while I panic and think OMG I just let them implant a foreign object in my body. OMG. I'm just a little freaked about having the band I guess but in the long run I feel like I definitely made the right choice.

Congratulations on the new baby and the new band. The first couple of months after being banded is strange IMHO, like you said you have this thing inside, your going to be experiencing all kinds of things, but I promise after a while, you don't even think about it.

Thanks ladies! I've known since before I got pregnant this last time that I wanted to do the Lap Band. Everything feels complete now. I'm happy where I'm at and I know it will just take some time to adjust to the band. Today is much better but I must say I'M STARVING!! I'll be glad when I move on to mashed potatoes.
