New & Frustrated...

  • Nearly every single day I vow that today is going to be the day where I don't binge and I finally lose weight, however I still end up messing up. I only want to lose 12 more pounds, but I'm just so frustrated that I'm very close to being where I want to be but these last 12 pounds have made me feel so terrible and I just want so badly to lose them and keep them off. I'm currently trying to get the inspiration to go work out, but it's so difficult. I used to be obsessed with the gym and sometimes go twice a day, but I can't afford my gym membership and I just got back from travelling and I'm in the process of moving so I can't get back into a gym routine for a couple more weeks.

    So frustrated! Tomorrow (I always say this) I'm determined to try again.

  • Welcome! This is a good place for info and support. There are fourms on binge issues and also on exercise if you think those things might be helpful for you. Good luck on your journey!
  • Those last few pounds seem to be the hardest for just about everybody. I would say to relax a bit since you are moving and likely having a lot of changes going on. You will know when you are really mentally ready to take on shedding the last pounds. It will likely take diet and exercise for those last pounds, so first find a new way to exercise since you don't have the gym
    (exercise video, walking/running). You can definitely do this if you have a little patience with yourself. Good luck!

  • Been there too! There is so much support on here, not to mention inspirational stories of how people lost half their body weight. Also there are threads for when we cheat a bit and feel we want some help getting back into the zone. In fact, there are threads for every conceivable question or problem.

    my suggestion to help reduce frustration: Remember that these last 12 pounds you are trying yo loose are about 10% of you total body weight. Consider how long it took to gain that weight and make a plain that keeps you moving forward to your main goal and set splenty of smaller (and doable!) goals so you will feel successful along the way.
