at an all-time high and none too happy!

  • Hey there,

I'm a 23 y/o female from the Chicago area. I've been overweight my whole life, but I usually peaked at like 180. I wasn't happy with my body, but I never really actively tried to lose weight.

Well, then some interesting things happened in my life. When I was 20, I met a boy and got hooked on heroin I lost a TON of weight, but that's not the healthiest diet. When I got clean last year I gained back all the weight and then some, tipping the scale at about 190. I had a brief, week-long relapse about a month ago, and my psych doctor put me on a new Bipolar med which really has me feeling great, but the dose was too high, and I gained 22 lbs in about 5 weeks! He just lowered my dose and I'm not so hungry all the time and feel full when I do eat which is great, but I think it is time to make a serious lifestyle change when it comes to my eating just like I did when I quit smack.

Saturday, I started the Belly Fat Cure. The weight is coming off super fast, though I think that has to do in part with how quickly I gained those 22lbs. Overall, I'm very motivated and am feeling really good. I think I can do it, and really hope so! My first goal is to be under 200 by the time I start classes again August 24th. *fingers crossed!*
