  • Feeling pretty terrible about my current weight, I decided to buy myself my first ever bikini for an up an upcoming trip this weekend. Seeing that I've covered myself up in every sort of situation in the past, even when I was skinny, this was a HUGE step for me. So...needless to say, I'm feeling very unsure of myself.

I know that I could look worse, but sometimes it's hard to stay positive. Of course, I'll still keep working to get myself more in shape, but I'd really like like some encouragement to actually wear this thing with confidence this weekend. ...Of course, if you think I look awful in it, you're free to share that as well.

  • No joke, you look great! Wear it. The bikini is really cute too. I'm sure you've worked hard, so you should get to proudly show off your success. Just remember to be confident and you'll look even better. Stand tall and flaunt your stuff. Have fun!!
  • OMG That bikini is soooo friggin cute and I'm jealous that I don't have it! You look great! Wear it girl and be proud. People are going to be jealous they dont have that bathing suit! AH! I love it!
  • I think we're our own worst critics and we'll always think we can look better in something that shows as much skin as a bikini. That aside, you rock that suit! Of course, you're still losing and in a month or whatever you'll feel more comfortable, but still.. strut your stuff hot chickie!
  • That is really cute!
  • i think you look great, honestly. i wish i had your confidence, because i still can't even fathom the idea of going out in public in too tight pants.
  • You look great! That bikini is really cute! Have fun!
  • That bikini is soooo cute, and you look great in it! I personally think you should go on your trip and rock that bikini like the beautiful woman you are!
  • Thanks guys. Ya'll made me feel a lot better about wearing it!
  • Super cute. If I were to give any advice I would say maybe get a little tan (either sunless tanner or by laying out a little). I am NOT saying that because you need one but rather because I always feel a little more confident in a suit when I have one. I don't know why, but it works for me.

You look great in that suit. Have a GREAT weekend.
  • Yay for you wearing the bikini. You look great.
  • i think it looks good too. But i second the tan, i absolutely had to have a tan before i wore my bikini at a public beach last year.I don't like the sun, so i get a mystic tan for $20. can't beat it. Just keep your feet covered. you do not want it to pool on your feet. it did mine, and it was horrible.
  • what a cute bikini! seriously it's perfect! once i get down to a lower weight it's exactly the kind I'd love to wear! You may just want to for your own comfort bring one of those wrap around skirts. I have one and it's been a savior more then one occasion. I always go thinking I'm going to be confident to just sport my swim suit out of the water but alas I usually am not I'm I'm super grateful I've brought my wrap around because you can tie it right under neath your boobs and hide your gut completely if you start feeling self conscious.. if do don't feel self conscious when you get there then I say just sport it as is!! but at least you'll have something in case you start feeling uncomfortable
  • ps- I think they may be called sarongs or swimming scarfs.. any who this is a picture of one you can wrap them around you as high or as low as you want it to set on your body- I have a pure sheer black one so it goes with everything

  • sorry to get off topic, but to jendiet, about the self tanner/mystic tan pooling on feet (or knees or hands, like I've had self tanners do) washing the area where you got too much on with a whitening toothpaste works wonders! Just rub the toothpaste in for a couple of minutes and rinse off. It really helps fade the bad orangey look.
