Bought a food scale! Goodbye uncharted calories!

  • I finally bought a food scale after a week of no loss and staying within what I thought was a good calorie range (average of ~1650/day, based on different websites). My first thought was to drop my calories, but somebody recommended I get anal about my calorie counting first.

Today I wrote down every morsel I ate, including a couple of samples at the farmer's market. Guess what?? The veggies and little bites that I normally don't write down have added up to 150 calories so far today! Glad I found out now!

Other small purchases I made that I'm excited about: 30 Day Shred and Ziploc Zip n Steam bags. Wow!
  • Good for you! I use my scale daily. All those little calories add up.

Have you tried the 30 Day Shred yet? I'm giving it a try tonight
  • Got a food scale on my wish list. I guess at calories now. I started 11 days ago and have lost 1 pound, but I think I can do more
  • I "completed" the 30 Day Shred this morning but didn't really get through everything and took a couple breaks... heh. I can feel my arms getting sore as I type.
  • Food scales are a great mini investment. I absolutely love my digital scale and would feel so lost without it. I find it really keeps things in perspective. Congratulations on your new buy! :-)
  • I just looked up the Taylor scale online and was shocked it is only $13!! Time to get it off my wish list and actually go buy one
  • After being encouraged to get a food scale from this website I got one last week. It's a great tool, I love it.
  • I use my food scale religiously. It can be surprising sometimes how off my estimates are, so glad I use it. I can feel confident my calories are accurate. Love it.
  • First chance I get to go to Target.....
