any body else dry body brush?

  • Ive started this as well as using a anti celliulite cream to help along side my diet n exercise t help reduce the apperance of my celliulite.

Just wanted to know if any one else does and seen results , also how long and how many times a day . at moment im doing once a day and aprox30 secs brushing each leg them applying cream .
  • I'm not doing this but would like to know if anyone sees results. I don't believe a cream can get rid of cellulite. I hope I'm wrong.

    Thanks

a cream cant get rid of it but i have used them on and off in the past and i do find they help smooth things out ....my fave is Avons trilaser celliulite corrector.

Just wonder if body brushing will speed up the process
  • Dr. Gillian McKeith, health guru and host of the show You Are What You Eat, recommends body brushing in her books. She says it "improves the skin's job of getting rid of internal garbage."

I'm not convinced doing that, or using any cream, will help with cellulite reduction, but think if brushing your skin makes a person feel better, why not do it? It's bound to increase circulation, and is a nice way to pamper yourself.
  • I've wanted to do it but never got around to try. My legs look like the moon! Even a small improvement would be welcomed.

I think we'd all love to hear your results after a few weeks!
  • I was intrigued by body brushing and went on a several week kick of doing it twice a day - I noticed my skin (not surprisingly) feeling much smoother but didn't notice any dramatic effect on cellulite. Life got crazy busy and I had to abandon the brushing for a while but I'd like to pick it up again as a good way to exfoliate.
  • I dry body brush 3 or 4 times a week. I usually brush right before I shower and use a body butter after I dry myself. My skin is smoother and I have seen a significant reduction in cellulite. It took about 2 months for me to see results in terms of the cellulite. Overall, the skin brushing makes me feel more energetic. I sometimes dread doing it because it can be time consuming, but it's worth it.
  • I do and I love it! I dry brush my entire body for approximately 3-4 minutes right before my morning shower. I'd say it took about 3 months to notice a change in my cellulite. There's still a bit there, but it's much less noticeable since before I started brushing.

    Hi,

I started a thread a while back, and these are the responses I got!

As for me, I've been brushing regularly (usually before a shower or during) with a rough brush. My skin looks better. A couple of dark spots have decreased in colour drastically, and my bum looks better. However, my belly hasn't changed.

    Keep it coming!
  • I just googled this after reading this thread. I had never heard of this. facinating.... might try it.
  • This reminds me of Bridget Jones' Diary, she does it in the novel, lol. It sounds very interesting though...I may have to try it...
  • I have started dry brushing about a few days ago. I love the way it feels. Afterwards I shower and then when I dry off I put vit. e oil on the parts with cellulite and stretch marks. My skin has definitely been feeling nice and moist! I'm hoping to be able to stick with it long enough to see a difference in my cellulite. I've read it may take up to 5 months of daily brushing to see results.
