I am about to do a major Fly-Lady Tidy because I forgot GAil comes this morning at 8. No coffee for me, thanks - I am off for my fasting blood test at 8:30. I sure hope they find a vein fast as my arms and hands are still bruised from a week ago Friday.
However, I can now fasten my bra!

I had a good weekend in Deerfield Mass and a good sunday with the kids. We have the fair in town for 10 days and I forgot how hard it is to get around. Off to take the kids to school, to the gym and then my friend is going to come and help me with my computer to be able to burn audio books onto CD for the car.

hello chicks, it has been a long time. i see a lot of familure faces! hello mamaj, dondar, ruth, and everyone else i am forgetting. boy the website has changed, gotten really fancy i will have to figure out all the bells and whistles! i need you guys, old and new friends, i am back op after a year or so off and it is not going as well as it did my last time around. i was 200 lbs and got down to 170, but this summer i crept up to 186 and tried several different programs with no success, decided to get back op, and today makes day 8 with no cheating what so ever, i mean it was easier this time getting back on the wagon then ever before but i have only lost 1lb. and as i remember the first week is usually a real loser, what in the world could i be doing wrong? i am drinking my water, keeping carbs between 20 and 30 a day, and i have even added walking to my life, i don't know what else to do. please help! i sure have missed this message board and all of you!

Good morning all-

I am going in late to work today- because I need to stay a little late tonight-

It's nice to have a few minutes to post in the morning. DH is gone, and I am making a mushroom omelet and packing a salad with chicken for lunch.

Spent the weekend on the usual chores, plus took down wallpaper in the kitchen. Not quite done, but getting there. My upper cabinets, which were on order are in, and I will call the contractor today and see when he can install them. Then I really have to move on wall treatment. May just paint for now. I am getting used to the bare walls with the old paint, plaster spots, cracks, and bits of old wallpaper- you know, sort of shabby restoration chic?

I did a lot of cleaning out in the garage- hoping DS will work with me on a yard sale this Sunday. If the weather cooperates, we are getting rid of some of DM's household stuff, and the ususal old kitchen junk, books, stereo components, kids stuff. It felt good to clear some basement shelves and give myself a little room!

well, off to straighten up the kitchen and get on the road. Have a great one!

I'm sitting here sweating, or as we say in the south glistening. Our downstairs central AC unit is not working. We had a repair guy out the first part of last week, he said it would most likely need more work than what he did to it. Well darn, he was right. I'm not going to call the same company back out, this guy looked and acted a little strange when he came to my door. He never once ask what was wrong with the unit. I finally said to him, would it help you to know what it's not doing? Needless to say he did not give off good vibes. It's supposed to get cooler this week, darn it's about time.

Barb, when it rains it pours. How is your son today? Your Dad and Mom sound just like mine. You need to protect them form theirselves.

DebKay & Goodforme-I'm so disappointed that I wasn't able to get together with you last week. I pulled your info out to put in my carry on bag and left it with my flight itenerary on the counter! (I'm always running late-lol)

Good almost afternoon!

Boy its been a hectic morning. I normally get up at 4:45 am, alarm didn't go off so we shot out of bed a little after 7 am. Told hubby to drive to my mom's (her baby sitter) got her ready to go, put her in the van and guess what, the dang thing didn't start, SO now not only will I be 1/2 hr late, I will be 1 1/2 hrs late cause now I have to drive the and hubby to work.... On the way in, we just looked at each other and laughed cause at that point, there's really nothing we could do.

My MIL is back in the hospital... she went in about 2 weeks ago because some scar tissue from her previous back operations was wrapped around her intestins making it so she couldn't poop. She went home on Friday and this morning the ambulance took her back in. This poor woman has been in and out of the dang hospital for the past 5 years. First its her leg, the doctor couldn't get it right so they had to cut it off, now this. Makes you wonder how much one has to suffer. And it makes you wonder about "practicing" doctors.

Gee bet you guys haven't heard this much from me in a lonnnng time .

Well back to eating my diet lunch

Hi Kat, I didnt meet you before, but hope I can get to know you now. Don't worry about the slow start. Are you drinking an increased amount of water? If you weren't getting enough water before, you might be hydrating yourself which is balancing the water loss at the start. Don't get frustrated, it will happen!

If they are bigger, they won't upload. Click on 'Post Reply' button (not the one down below the Quick Reply box, but right below the last post. After you type your message, click on attach pic 'browse' button and scroll through until you find your pic. Then just finish off the reply as normal. It should show. If not, let me know!

Well now it is raining, so I will have to find something to do besides pull weeds. Gee, what a dreary day!

Kat - Sorry I didn't say Hi before. I got flustered about the pic.

I had yummy chinese for lunch, I didn't realize how many things are low/lower carb. I was really missing chinese food. Even more than my full leaded/sugary Coke.

Strange question: Anyone else wonder exactly how much weight we've lost total? (As in everyone who uses this page for support) I think I'm going to pledge to match the pounds I lose to a donation in canned goods to a food bank this winter/christmas. I think I saw a website where that was done.
