Well, who would have guessed?

  • I like to use Wednesdays as a splurge day because I work out a ton and it's far away from weigh-in day. I look forward to Wednesdays. I eat brownies, cookies, something sweet. Or maybe splurge on a meal. Today? I can't think of a single thing I want. All the junk I used to love so much don't sound appealing to me right now. Ah, well, it's still early in the day. Surely I'll come up with something.

    Thank you for that advice. So many times I eat crap just because I have the points available (Weight Watchers), not because I am hungry or anything. I have to remind myself that sometimes, it's okay not to eat! (Or at least it's okay not to stuff myself with junk just because I can!)
  • I've been noticing that lately too and it feels awesome! Just a few weeks ago, I thought there's no way I could go a whole week without brownies and cake and cookies etc. Now I find that I much prefer the sweetness of a peach or blueberries etc! It is impossible!!

  • That's awesome! Since giving up artificial sweeteners (HFCS included), I've noticed that many things are far to sweet for me when I do take that bite of something yummy.

    Amazing how your body adjusts and tells you what it needs.
  • I haven't had any sweets in a few weeks and I miss it terribly but each day it seems to get easier. I have replaced my chocolate craving with a protein shake - not the same but nonetheless it's chocolate.
  • Amazing how wonderful fruit tastes when away from candy for a while.
