dianne- what is your weight loss plan? are you counting calories? cardio? weights? have you set any long term goals?
ya some weight should come off easily when u begin to follow a healthy lifestyle. But, we're talking a pound or two. 5lbs if you're lucky. That's one reason that so many people turn into yo-yo dieters; there are no quick and easy fixes. You just have to decide that weight loss is what you want, and that you are going to achieve it, no matter how long it takes.
Like Bry said above, the first few weeks sucked. I had a hard time at the beginning of my journey. I lost 5lbs before even finding 3fc. Then once 3fc came into my life, I gained some confidence and knowledge through lurking, and I committed to a lifestyle over-haul. I lost a quick 6lbs the first week at 3fc, then 'gained' 3 back over the next week. Since then I lost about 1-1.5 pounds a week. I fell off the wagon for about a month when I hit 150, but it took very little effort to maintain. Once I felt myself getting into some old bad habits again, I came back to 3fc to recommit again. It is a process.
But as a form of motivation, I like to imagine it being 4 months from now, and slipping into a skimpy Halloween costume, or whatever. I can't wait for the day to be over because that means I get to make more good choices tomorrow, which ultimately brings me closer to my goal! So I would really evaluate what you want and why, and whether you're willing to put up with bad days to get there. Good luck
