Newbie. Mommy. Ready to make change happen!

  • Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum or any forum for that matter. I am a mother of the most amazing 1 year old daughter ever! I am 40 pounds heavier than my pre-pregnancy weight. I have always struggled with wt. loss but never like this. Since having my c-section 13 months ago, I just can't seem to lose this wt. It's frustrating, demoralizing, overwhelming...it just sucks!

My time is very limited and I don't have a sitter so I've used this as an excuse not to exercise and eat healthy. No more! Any tips on exercising with a 1 yr old supervising would be great. Just looking to make some friends, give and receive support. Would love to find a wt. loss buddy.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Overall Goal: 50 lbs

    CW: 185 lbs
    GW: 135 lbs

    Mini goal: 175 lbs
  • Welcome
Welcome and thanks for posting. If time is limited maybe you and the baby could do mommy/baby exercise tapes together or join a mommy and baby activity class..just something to get you moving and teaches the baby early about exercise and moving the body.

Again welcome and keep us updated

  • welcome! yes the mommy/baby classes/video workouts are a great idea. maybe you could also try to do some video workouts on your own during the baby's nap time, or try going out for a walk/jog togther using a baby jogger. sometimes this is a good way for them to get in an extra nap, or to be able to spend time outside (and you can use the shades/netting on them so the babies don't get too much sun and aren't bothered by bugs. good luck!
  • Hi and welcome to 3FC.

    Good luck with your goals.

    Hugs

  • Thanks for the ideas. I have decided to start walking with my daughter in her stroller. I live in the country and don't really have the finances atm to take classes but I think I'm going to invest in a couple of videos. I'm excited. My morning weight this morning was 183.6! that's a pound and a half lighter that I thought I was. What a way to start off!
  • Welcome!
