Got Freckles?

  • Just wondering how many chicks have freckles, and how you feel about them.

I spent a lot of time with family this weekend, and all of us have freckles. It's rather nice not being the only freckley person in the room for a change! I mean, I have a few friends who have that smattering of freckles across their cheeks and nose, but imo that hardly counts.

I have tons of freckles on my arms, hands, fingers, chest, and back. On my face, they are only on my forehead, temples, and eyelids (which looks rather strange, like some kind of Zorro mask or something). I have none on my legs, but I do have a small rogue constellation on my left foot (and that is definitely strange! )

For the most part, I don't really mind my freckles, and almost enjoy having this oddity. The only time it really bugs me is when I want to get dressy dressed-up, because in my mind freckles are cute and casual and sorta ruin the whole look.

    What about you, freckley chicks?
  • I've seen a few models with crrazy everywhere freckles. Honestly, I think it's exotic
  • Anywhere the sun has hit, I have freckles. They're light on my face unless I spend much time in the sun, then they come out like gangbusters. I have a few on my back and belly, but most of them are on my arms, chest, back, legs. I figure it's a combination of genetics and a childhood of summertimes where we were more aware of fun in the sun than in the prevalence of skin cancer.

Overall, I don't mind them. They're a part of me. I joke that I don't suntan, my freckles just get big enough for the edges to meet and make me look brown.
  • I have a million freckles and I LOVE them. I get complimented on them constantly. It makes me really sad when other people hate their freckles, they are one of my favorites parts of me.
  • I have tons. Like serendipity, anywhere the sun hits! The most are on my face & shoulders.
  • I love my freckles! they are everywhere and in the summer they get a bit darker!
  • They've been popping out all over my arms ever since I started hitting the outdoor pool this summer.
  • Quote: I've seen a few models with crrazy everywhere freckles. Honestly, I think it's exotic
Wow, I've never thought of freckles as exotic! In my mind, I classify them as "cute." I prefer exotic.

It's pretty groovy that so many of us are content with our freckliness!

Oh, and I have to edit my post. I said I have no freckles on my legs, but I noticed when I was shaving this morning that there are a few there, but they're much lighter and not as obvious as the freckles elsewhere. I think they must have just popped out this weekend because I spent a lot of time in the sun!
  • I don't have freckles but my cousin does.
And even now I'm jealous of the freckles
she has. She has just a little bit on her
nose and cheeks and it's SO CUTE!
  • As an adult, my husband says they are cute (especially when they come out on my face in the summer), but when I was a kid, I was horribly self-conscious and got teased a lot
  • I am absolutely coated in freckles, the most I've ever seen on an adult when I actually spend any time outside. When I was little the ones on my shoulder and back would run together to nearly solid freckle.

I love them. For one, they make people think you look younger than you are. A lot younger. As in I still get carded for R-rated movies sometimes at 29 (and I'm not a tiny "cute" person).

Another, wow everyone thinks I have fabulous skin. I don't. I have awful skin with at least one zit going on at a time. Can you tell? Nope, freckles have got it covered.

And it's weird, but patient's family come across with a more friendly, bonding attitude at work with me when I'm freckled up. For instance, parents loved me way more once I got down South for a while and freckled up as opposed to when I've just gotten back from spending an entire winter inside in the dark North Alaskan winter (all the freckles pretty much fade away on my face). Don't get me wrong, patients/parents interaction has always been among one of my favorite things, they just warm up a little quicker when I'm freckled as opposed to just really pale ;>

I do have an annoying freckle. There is one large one on the side of my nose (it's actually a few that blob together in the summer) that gets really dark and I constantly feel like I have a smudge on my face.
  • When i was younger i hated my freckles everyone made fun of them

BUT as i grew older i learned that not everyone had them and that they were unique. Whe ever someone would dicribe me they would say YEA KAREN THE ONE WITH THE FRECKELS. lol i love it now

My boyfriend loves them becuz he says no one can never look like me and that i was speacial. He is a huge unique fan so he says i am on the top list. lol.
