New Member with a new beginning please read!

    I have decided to join this site for support and advice from other people in the same situation that I am in~ I am 21 years old, and I am a full-time college student, and I work full-time, and I have 3 year old. I have always had problems with my weight; however, I have been at goal before by watching what I eat. I use to weigh 145 lbs in 2004, and now it is 2010 and I am struggling with the weigh of 255 pounds. I am ready to lose this weight!! I have never counted calories before in my life, I have always went with fad diets such as weight watchers or diet pills. I am ready to make a life change not just a brief weight loss for a couple of months!!!!! I need all the support I can get.....

  • Good luck, I'm a calorie counter and I started at 255 with a goal of 145, so our stats are pretty similar. Calorie counting is very do-able and much more sustainable than the fad diets or pills as you've mentioned, plus it's free. Good luck, you've found a good place for support here!

I love cooking so I am going to have to have a look at the calorie counting recipes, I also have started a blog so I can put it all online at the end of the day and keep track. Writing things down helps you make the right choices and you wont want to be writing down something that you know it naughty

    Thanks everyone!! I will be trying to post something everyday. I have been at this for 4 days now, and feeling good already!! I hope I can have a -5 pound mans jumping on my posts like all of you! I am ready to change my life, and be who I want to be and get out of this fat suit!
