I recently had to switch to a F/T job on a split shift-7 p.m. to 3 a.m! It's so hard on me! I did join a health club but all I do is end up falling asleep on a lounger by the pool. I am at least 35 lbs overweight and I am sure that dropping those last few pounds will give me just a bit of energy.
I guess I'm here because I just need some kick-in-the-pants support to get me moving when all I feel like doing is curling up and napping.
I get off work usually around 5 because the train wouldn't even run until 6:30 so I just work. The club opens at 5:15. What workout could I do that would make a difference w/o making me too wired to sleep when I get home?
Hi and welcome to 3FC.
Good luck with your goals.
Hugs

Sounds to me like you need to boost your nutrition. I don't know what sort of diet you have and I realise your work hours are affecting your energy levels, but that's all the more reason to make sure your nutrition is in tip top condition. i.e. lots of fresh/raw fruit and veg/vitamins. I'm not brilliant at exercise myself but from what I've heard/read, any form of exercise opens up the arteries, gets the blood flowing and more oxygen circulating around your body so will make you feel more energised and awake. Also, you might need to up your water intake to say 2-3 litres of water per day. You might already be doing this, I don't know. Good luck!
