  • I'm not sure you want to buy anything but a friend had foot surgery and had good results with these workouts. You might check your library for something similar.

  • Do you have a robotic fitness place nearby? I wouldn't recommend it permanently, but it would keep you moving while you recover. Good luck!
  • Hi Ann. Sorry to hear about it but welcome to the broken foot club.
I broke mine about 10 weeks ago and am just starting to build up my running again.

I hate to say it but it sounds like you're in the 'denial' stage.
You've got a broken foot for goodness sake, you're supposed to be resting!!

My approach was to take the opportunity to go hard on the diet. If you're not doing much, then you don't need much fuel, so you can cut the calories.

Oh yeah, and i had a good go at the "100 push ups challenge" - a 6 week program of pushups where you follow a plan 3x a week. Google it if you're interested.

But really, if you've only just broken it, you need to be sensible so that you maximise your recovery potential.
  • thanks gang i think i'll try the caloriie counting ange82much (great name by the way)as robotic training sounds a bit scary annie ,i'll let you know how i go
  • Chair exercise? I know sometimes the dvds are geared for seniors but so what?
