My husband and I both weighed 200 pounds on the scale this morning. We've both been losing weight for 2 years, and have lost approximately the same amount; but while I do it by being extremely careful and conscious about my diet, exercise, sleep, etc., he does it seemingly by just willing it to happen. Which is not to say he hasn't made big changes himself, based on my example--but the fact is that he loses weight when I work at losing weight. (It's kind of like I do all the work but only get half the weight loss, he gets the other half for free
)
But I'm not resentful or envious of him. In fact, I love giving him suggestions on how to speed up his loss or get the most out of his workouts. And I'll be designing a workout program for him to follow this summer--he's a naturally muscular guy and when he does strength training the results are to
swoon for!
I'm honestly thrilled to be benefiting doubly...a sexier me, a sexier husband. And yes, I take ALL the credit for his loss, too!
