Clothes Shopping

  • Good Afternoon Ladies

What a day! I did today what I should have put off for forever...went shopping for new clothes. What was I thinking? Yesterday my jeans felt a little roomy in the waist so I got the big head and thought I would go ahead and purchase a few things for fall. However, after stepping in Eddie Bauer and loading my arms full of jeans and getting into the dressing room... ... things changed. I don't understand why the clothes makers in this world have to be so cruel. Every pair were much too tight. Sob. My argument is that the same size pair I had on that I purchased last year were like I said "roomy". I held up the supposed to be identical jeans and they were at least 1 to 2 inches difference in the waist. Sizes are getting "smaller" every year. Is it just me or has anyone else encountered this same problem? I did find some other bargains, but still left feeling sad and upset with myself. Thought I might rant a little.

Anyway, I need a little encouragement. I've been watching my carbs somewhat for the last few weeks, but tomorrow is D-Day!! Full force diet begins Monday. I'm pumped. Especially after today. So, everyone say a little prayer for me.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. May you all be blessed with a blue sky Monday.

    FlyAway
  • Flyaway, I haven't tried on jeans for years, so I wouldn't know about the sizes of jeans. But I do know that I get really down when I try on a smaller size and it's still too tight! I have lost about 40 pounds since I've started lc'ing and can't believe that it hasn't made more of a change in my body image.
  • fly away i have to agree with you. there are not the same size any more!!!
