  • This week I reached my 100 pound loss. I have been on this journey since Nov 1, 2008 with the focus on getting healthy and doing it the right way. I have learned so much not just about diet, exercise and nutrition but also about who I am.

I know if I can do this anyone who really wants to can. I am married with 6 children ranging from 14 years old to 1. I have 4 kids in sports, drama, and music meaning even more commitments. I have 2 little kids with me most the time. I am a stay at home Mom who is never home. We live on one income. I have had 6 sections and 2 major hip surgeries. I have hyperglycemia and other various medical things that were an easy excuse for years.

I have gone from a size 26 to a 12. I remember being a size 12 in 6th grade. My weight loss has changed friendships, the way even strangers look at and treat me. It's weird to think my younger children will not remember the unhappy unfit Mom I used to be.

To mark my 100 pounds I am getting a makeover in a NYC salon next week. I will be in NYC with my husband for business and I figure that will be a once in a lifetime opportunity. I also want to get a small tattoo (my first) to remind me everyday that I can do anything I set out to accomplish! I still have a little ways to get to goal but it will happen in time .Be on the lookout for pictures soon.
