I think I need to start counting again

  • I've got a little less then 20lbs to lose now and I feel like I need to be more accountable to myself now. I've been just watching what I'm eating and have done great but my weight loss has slowed some and I think probably has to do with the fact that I'm eating what I did when I was 10-15lbs heavier so I need to reduce that. I just printed off the zig-zag schedule that freedieting gave me and I'm going to go by the for the next 2 weeks to see how it goes. I've come so far and I don't want these last pounds to just creep off...
  • Well, you've done great so far. Congrats! Sometimes we just need to shake things up a bit like you're beginning to do. Let us know how the new plan works out.
  • I am within 7#of goal and I ahve found myself more intent on my healthy eating. I also have a long trip coming up in July, my final exam as it were, and would like to be at goal before then.
  • well, I dind't count today as I planned to. I just had a way to busy day and didn't have time to get on the computer to find a site to track them. What tracking sites to you all use that store foods so you don't have to put them in each time?
  • Many calorie counters use Fitday. You might want to plan at night, for the next day, then you won't have to worry about being too busy to figure it all up as you go along. For me, personally, I'm much more likely to stay OP when my plan is in place at the beginning of the day.
  • I have an iTouch and use 2 apps on it most of the time. I used this successfully during the holidays when I could easily have 4 functions to attend.

However, I used FitDay with my last trip and have continued to use it during this very busy week- house guests, graduation parties, family coming in to town. I like it better because it is a bigger screen to plan on. I do my figuring here, then input my menus back into my daily planner, again iTouch. With a quick look at my iPod I know what I am eating.

It sounds time consuming but I bet, I spend less than 2 minutes inputting the data, and another 5 minutes planning on Fitday which covers almost a week. If I have to call a place for food clarification, it might be more. However, I need to know this information anyway for shopping and other planning purposes so it isn't that much more of a time load.

Even if it was, which I always thought it would be, my fabulous body is worth it.

I have happily discovered I enjoy my events more knowing where my boundaries are from preplanning as you suggest.
