After beige...

  • I am almost to the point where my menu will change, so my question is....what menu comes next? How many times will my menu change in the next 50 lbs I have to lose?
  • kimmermarie, You will go to the Green Menu which basically reduces your protein down to 4 oz instead of 6 and decreases your max HNS to 4/day. You will stay on this menu until you go into stabilization
  • Hey kimmermarie19, congratulations! Pretty exciting milestone you're coming up on! You're almost at that magical 199!

I'm right there with ya! Hoping to start that new menu next week. My counselor today told me to switch to 5oz protein this week so that 4 oz won't seem like so little.

  • Kimmermarie, no there is no change to the starch or fruit. All those changes come in stabilization. I second the idea of reducing your protein this week. It was quite an adjustment for me - even after it seemed like too much food when I first started. Funny how our bodies adjust to these changes rather quickly.
  • I am currently on the beige menu as well. I was wondering when you do get to change? Or is this something that is different for everybody?
Thanks for the help... as you can tell I'm new here!

Hi eli87marie, you change to the green menu when you reach 200 lbs. Most centers will have you transition to it at around 205/203 lbs by switching to 5 oz of protein instead of 6 so you don't go straight to the 4oz and either find yourself hungry or for your body to be upset and hit a plateau.
