What do you do when you eat all calories by 3pm?

  • so yeah I made a mistake and tasted the yummy peperoncini beef I had in the crockpot and I ate 2 sandwiches of it (was supposed to be my dinner) and now I have no calories left for today... It's 3 pm!!

    Do I:
    a. have a snack anyway around 5:30 (usual dinner time and I don't eat after 6) of a graham cracker and tsp of PB?
    b. don't eat at all the rest of the day?
    c. other? suggestions??
  • i will suggest to have a light snack like cucumbers or fresh green salad as that is filling and it fills you up! not eating anything till eight in the next morning will be too long a period of time for your body to not get any food!
  • I'm in that boat today too. I'm about 4 days from TOM, and have NO self control. I'm just trying to keep from binging today. Argh.

Personally I'm going to go with a. It'll put me over on calories, but hopefully keep me from binging if I starve myself. Good luck!
  • Eat lean proteins and veggies at dinner time. Avoid carbs. Go to bed early.
  • I would go over my calories a tad by eating a big salad so I had a full feeling. Then I would turn off the kitchen lights and go to bed with a book. If I didn't eat anything else I'd surely set myself up to binge.
  • Salad or steamed veggies was my first thought. You can get a lot of food for a little amount of calories. Add a little protein to the mix to keep you full longer, and try not to stress too much about it.
  • I would eat a meal. Something that would make you feel satisfied, like a lean protein and veggies.

I don't think skipping a meal you are used to eating is a good idea-- you'll be setting yourself up for a binge.
  • I would eat something at the regular time anyhow. How about 1 cup of fiber one cereal with 1 cup of almond milk? 110 calories. Or 1/2 cup l/f yogurt and 1/2 cup fiber one cereal? 130 cals. I find both of those things pack a decent punch for not too many calories. A little protein, plus fiber for feeling full. You might need to plan your days better next time so you aren't in the same predicament. Also, have you considered having range of calories that would allow you to be a little more flexible? I go anywhere from 1300 to 1800 a day. Never under 1200 and never over the 1800, but there's a lot of room for different foods and amounts of food, depending on my day.

    Good luck!

  • thanks everyone - this is my high range for the day!! We were having peperoncini beef and that was putting me at the very top (actually 2 from my max)
I suggested PB cause I know it satisfies me - so I am going to do 1 tsp of PB after a salad with a vinaigrette dressing.
  • I would go with a salad with some protein in it.. like some turkey lunch meat or some cut up chicken breast or a hard boiled egg (white only is best since it keeps the calories down) with some low cal dressing. I know for me if I touched that peanut butter I would set myself up for the same binge that I would if I said to myself that I couldn't eat anything else after 3pm.
  • Large large green salad with 1/2 cup of chicken breast and a yummy low cal dressing. Under 200 calories and will fill you up!

I even THINK of touching peanut butter when I am super hungry and it spells disaster for me... and I eat the just peanuts kind! I just love it so much I want more
  • Borrow calories from the rest of the week (?)
  • I don't even keep peanut butter in the house !
  • Here's the best advice I have ever heard which has stayed with me to help me not give up...

"Count it as a vegetable and move on"!
